hiya! im pretty new to all this so i thought i'd start off with 16things about me, my friend posted his on facebook so it seems as good as any to put mine on here :]

some of them are "deeper" or more personal than others, but thats how i roll :]

1] Apathy angers me more than pretty much anything else [apart from the artschool canteen closing down!!] People proper dont seem to care about anything anymore, like, having opinions/debates/ideas.. or finding out about stuff.. its kinda like closed-mindedness.. if they dont know about something they dont really have an interest, which is fine to an extent.. but things were so different in the 70s~ students rebelled!! ^^

2] i get stupidly close to people stupidly quickly.. and i always open my heart to people.. and i always ALWAYS get hurt.. and i NEVER fucking learn!! but its who i am. so thats fine, i guess.

3] i'm quite a laidback person i think.. day-to-day stuff in my life doesnt generally get my annoyed.. and i dont really ever express anger.. if i get annoyed, i like to think i have a good reason for it! basically, i'm virtually horizontal, except when it comees to creativity.. thats my outlet for EVERYTHING!

4] i wish i was born in the early sixties so i could be this age in the 70s.. not just so i could've been a groupie when bowie was doing the ziggy stardust thing MAS there are lots of reasons, like all the new ideas and creativity.. thats just the main one

5] i was diagnosed with manic-depression last year [or bi-polar as the cool kids are calling it these days]
... i stil dont really agree with it tbh, i dont like the idea of being boxed of in that category, and my "unusual" emotions make me who i am! I think most creative people are slightly m.d. to an extent.. i just feel things a bit more than some people.. look at Keats, Stephen Fry, Ray Davies, Graham Greene...etc.. it helps, mostly, if anything!

6] i'm quite happy with who i am right now. its taken FUCKING time to get to this stage but its good, i'm not like everyone else [ as i find out more every bloody day *sighs*] but its good, i like it! i somedays feel like the smallest doll in a babushka doll, but everyone does, and im tryina not let them days get on top of me.

7] i sing. A lot.. i dont think im very good, but i dont break peoples ears and some of my friends like it
id never choose it as a career but im available for drunken karaoke (Y)

8] some things i want to do in my life:
set up my own business
TRAVEL!! like, paris,australia, japan[and asia generally], MEXICO AND SA- #1 destination!!
write more.. and let people see it?
ride an elephant
have some work published in Dazed & Confused
become a stronger person
get married
learn bass! properly.. not just improvising.. i need to learn all the right chords and shit.. i dont know if id be any good at all its just something i want do
skydive
help the homeless and/or the poor of this world
do some exercise at some point! mas

9] i'm not everyones cup of tea!! but in the nicest way possible, i dont give two shits if you dont like me, i know who my friends are, they make my fucking world!

10] Dogmatic religion aint my thing. AT ALL. no offence meant~ARE YOU MAD?lol~ i used to be a Christian.. its fine, i just didnt like all the rules, the lack of scientific understanding, the idea that because a book is old it means it is worthy, the emphasis on blame... i wont go on because i genuinely dont wanna offend anyone, whatever gets people through their day, tbh. i kinda wish i was spiritual, if not religious, but its not something i worry about anymore, one faith crisis is enough i thinks!

11] i still miss my dad.. i know thats a pretty obvious one, but i only just realised! its been, what, 9 years since he died, and it gets SO much easier, but occassionaly i listen to a song and it makes me cry and i dont know why, then i'll remember the connection with my dad, or whatever.. its a good thing though, and it means im not forgetting him and i've inherited his creativity [the passion, not the talent! i wish!]

12] i dont just do photography. i paint. i write- songs/prose/poetry/journals/fiction... whatever. i draw. i play bass [not properly..ive covered this ]. i make clothes. just not a lot of people see anything else..

13] i dont know what i believe in politics wise.. i dont think i'm a communist or an anarchist or much of anything really, maybe a liberalist [is that even a word?] but i still, as a human being, hold my right to show an interest and talk about it and get angry if i dont think something is right! when people didnt show an interest in Obama, e.g, i got annoyed because America is the most powerful coutry in the west, maybe indeed in the world, and whatever happens there has an affect on us...

14] on a daily basis i need: fags. chocolate. water [i need to survive] at least 1 hug. at least 2 smiles. to do something productive [ being lethargic gets me down]. friends. my phone. my camera. music.

15] films make me happy! i have quiiiite an extensive collection, i think its good to get out of your head and explore some other world, from someone elses perspective sometimes. i like books for the same reason. my favourite actor is probably Richard E Grant, because I've loved him in everything he's ever done!

16] my favourite novelists are Richard Brautigan, JT Leroy, Hunter S Thompson.. and Shakespeare
